The Optional Coaxial Illumination Block (299067-310) offers compact integration of through-lens illumination via the NEW Optem LED Coaxial lluminator, or a conventional Fiber Optic Coaxial Lamphouse.
When integrating an Upper Zoom 70 Lens, best results are achieved in placing the Upper Zoom module directly over the lower module and utilizing FMOS Upper tubes above the secondary offset position. Some combinations of greater length, larger-format Lower Function Modules and lower magnifications may result in varying degrees of vignetting as well. It is recommended to integrate Dual-Mag Module with FMOS Upper Tubes higher than FT60 to avoid vignetting. Contact Qioptiq Imaging to determine if your desired combination may encounter vignetting.
As with Optem Lens Systems, the Dual-Mag Module is designed for use with 1-in format, C-mount cameras (or smaller). When maximum fields-of-view are required, Zoom 125C bottom modules are recommended. The Dual-Mag Module itself features tapped and counterbored mounting holes for streamlined mechanical integation with improved image stability.
